Heart of Silver Flames

Tender words,
Soft words and promises of a future life.
Heart crushed under the past.
Northern light that pass by bringing darkness around her.
She wants nothing more than to let someone in,
Someone to walk with in the healing of her soul.
"...someone who doesn't love you."
The manipulation the lie,
Where she poured our her heart, her soul.
"...what you say doesn't matter."
Taught that failure defines a person,
Took away the standard of good.
Hiding,hidden away.
A broken soul, terrified to trust again.
Terror in places where peace is found
And peace in the chaos of abuse and hurt.
She has decided to try and stop the endless cycle of love and leave,
A war of carnage and broken hearts in her wake.
Those who wanted nothing but good and had the sincerest hopes,
Broken down before her, broken down by those who threw her down.
Second hand murder, second had manipulated.
Will someone hold on long enough to see the curse break.
A broken curse, a stable life, hope, light maybe within her grasp.
Does anyone see her, the broken mess that was made,
Made by men who could not see.
By lovers and father's who felt included to let herself her value declined.
Failing grades and low self esteem, cultivated in the palm of those who taught to destroy.
Does anyone hear her cries for hope, for freedom?
Freedom from the cage she built to protect herself,
A comfortable shelter, built of obsidian walls.
Can some take a gentle step and keep holding out their hand,
A hand toward the silver flames that burn so bright.
The flames that lick her soul and keep her hot in the midst of attack.
But the devil's who changed her, made her see the darkness in the light and the light in the dark.
A false light where nothing can be seen.
Love?
What is that for those who do not know,
Who have never felt the warmth of an honest lover.
A tender caress of lips on skin that are there to cherish.
What is that which so many know? That many gold true.
What is love?
Will someone change the score on a heart so boxed and jaded?
Who will take her fear seriously and walk with her through it all.
Gentle. Fierce. Steady. Patience.
She doesn't not understand.
She wants to though.
She wants to hold what is good and true.
But afraid to fall is her only thought.
Afraid to change her sanctuary.
Her safe place.
Afraid to take that step.
But she wants to possess it.
She wants to change her truth,
Change her life and embrace the life she's dreamed of for so long.
Will he be the one?
Will he hold her hand?
Will be calm the silver flames she's holds so deep inside?
Calm the fire burning strong,
Call her heart to still and learn to trust once again.

Rope and Light

"That's a good girl," He whispers.

A wicked grin forming on his lips.

Shivers of electric thrill,

rush over skin.

the past forgotten,

present light ignited.

the thrill of attraction,

and lingering touch.

A bond of trust, so deep and true,

one that streches the expanse of time.

Her heart his, not only now,

but for as long as he is in control.|

With ropes and binding,

with hope and light.

A bond where her torments and darkness,

all fade to white.

One phrase, one she longed for all her life.

"Say please," he coaxes.

His voice deep but kind.

A finger cool runs along warm skin.

chills race, and a breath catches.

He leans in and presses soft lips to hers.

Fingers tangle deep, in tresses of black.

A grip, one promising control, protection and care.

Showing her he will always dare to set the world ablaze,

only for her, as long as she belongs to him.

For in this moment, darkness is all she sees.

the trust she holds in him,

yet to be seen by those unknowing.

This relief of her nightmares,

most do not understand.

Only her and him, in this strange design.

Many see aggression,

But do not see agreement made and found.

Mutual trust, a lasting fare.

Now move away from unknown scene,

two nights down, the time line seen.

She sits alone, her head in her hands.

The shadows of her past, growing dark and grim.

Waiting for the knight she waited for,

making the money to key a roof over their head,

she prays the day ends soon.

long last light comes in,

he notices her pain and scoops her up.

He holds her close.

"It is okay, Songbird. No more tears."

He kisses away the tears, knowing he is her strength.

He is her hero in times when the villian come for her.

When the darkness threatens to take her whole.

"You have nothing to fear, for I am here."

Within his warmth,

in his strong embrace.

The safety of his arms and the calmness of his voice,

it brings her home.

It brings her back where she knows who has control,

where she knows her protector is.

where her monsters cannot touch her.

Her hero, her knight.

Her phantom thief who finally stole her away,

away into the night.

The one who brought all the sacred shards of her heard,

and has been forging them together again.

Time, it will take,

for her heart to be whole.

Their bond, formed in rope, words, silk and trust.

formed in mutual communication, interests and promise,

a tool to heal both their hearts.

healing in control, submission, trust, word, hope and love.

"That's it, baby bird. No one is going to hurt you anymore.

I have you and you have me.

If ever things are to much, say the word.

All will cease.

I will be here.

Always."

Truth of Love

When love finds me, I don't want to be afraid.

God, you are love and you show us it perfectly.

When the world seems dark and it crashes in, I don't want to break.

God, you are my strong tower.

Lord, you hold my heart.

You have my soul, oh God.

Hold me in your hands, lead me without fear.

For you, God, are my peace.

For in your I find rest at last.

Take me, use me, heal this broken mess.

My life is not worth the life given on the cross.

Not worth the pardon given for my soul.

I could ask for nothing more.

I get eternity,

only if I take it willingly.

give my life and my faith fully.

I can never truly understand the truth of love,

So I will set my eyes on the example I am given.

unconditional and true.
