At first, we thought the black liquid was oil, that we'd struck it ruch and that we'd be able to retire and live in leisure. We actually started writing down all the ways we'd spend the money. Our first choice was to start with new cars. A simple exspense, but one that was needed to get from place to place. This could potentially cover a brand new car and the insurance that was needed to get it on the road. No more broken run down one, no worrying about horrible gas milage. We could finally travel the open road.
The second was to buy a new house for ma. She's been living in that same old modular house since before we were born. Something nice, not to to big, but also enough room for when we wanted to visit on the weekends with the kids. Maybe three bedrooms with a pool in the back. Make sure we pay all the taxes on it and make sure we pay ahead for some one to come take care of the place for her, so she doesnt have to work to hard.
After sometimes we were looking at our priorities and realized we weren't even sure that it was oil to begin with. It looked like oil, thats for sure, but we hadn't even called anyone to come and inspect our discovery. We may have found some polluted water hole. We called who we needed to and they came out to inspect our find. He looked over the spot and took a sample. As he performed some test, he frowned.
"Ma'am?" he whispered.
"Yes?" I responded calmly and walked over to him.
"This isn't oil... Though i'm not sure exactly what it is..." he said as he looked over a the substance again.
"Really?" I questioned.
"Really...I'm have to take it to the label to really figure out what it is." he stated as he wrote down some notes. "I'm sorry to tarinish your dreams of riches."
"Its not like your taking away a million dollars or nothing. We are fine." I smiled in response.
"Well, I'm going to pack up and you will hear from me in a couple days to hear what i found out." he said as he started to load up his work.
